Linetrack, ready to run
and hosted in Germany

The standard route for most of our customers: you sign in and start working. Servers, updates, monitoring and backups run on our side – in a data centre in Germany, under GDPR and on certified infrastructure.

  • No servers of your own

How it works

From first call to working in production

No procurement, no server order. Here is what sits between the first conversation and the day your teams plan with it.

Demo and target picture

Together

We look at how your projects are structured: how you cut trades, where capacity gets tight, which departments should plan alongside. That shapes what Linetrack looks like for you.

Your environment is live

Linetrack

Your environment is set up and reachable straight away. There is nothing to install – a current browser on any machine in the building is enough.

Master data and migration

Together

Projects, departments, resources and calendars go into the system. Existing Excel lists can be imported, and we migrate running projects together with you.

Training and go-live

Together

Your users are trained on their real projects, not on sample data. We then sit in on the first planning rounds.

Included in the service

What you do not have to do yourself

You get the features whichever way it runs. The difference is who looks after operations – and that is the actual value.

01

Operation and monitoring

Servers, database and services run on our side and are monitored. As a rule we notice a fault before your users do on a Monday morning.

02

Updates without your involvement

New features and security updates arrive continuously. There is no version project, no maintenance window and no decision about whether to take an update.

03

Backup and restore

Your data is backed up regularly and restoring it is a practised procedure. You neither build a backup routine nor verify that it works.

04

A person, not a ticket number

When you have a question you reach people who know how your projects are structured. Planning questions and fault reports go the same way.

Security

Where your data actually sits

The details your IT department wants to see before signing off – written so you can pass them on unchanged.

Hosted in Germany

Application, database and backups run exclusively at Hetzner in the Falkenstein data centre. No location outside it, nothing handed to third parties.

Processed inside the EU only

Your project and personnel data is processed and stored inside the EU only. A GDPR data processing agreement is part of the contract.

ISO/IEC 27001 certified data centre

Our hosting partner runs the data centre to the internationally recognised ISO/IEC 27001 security standard.

Encrypted in transit and at rest

Transfers over TLS 1.2 and 1.3, storage with AES-256 encryption.

Hourly and daily backups

Several backup states side by side, stored separately from the running system. A restore usually takes under an hour.

Roles decide who sees what

Access goes only to people with an account and the matching role in your company. Projects, capacity and reporting are tied to those roles, not merely to holding an account.

Feature set

The platform, in full

Project scheduling, capacity across all trades, portfolio, supplier access, key figures – plus the mobile app and sign-in through your Microsoft 365.

Multi-project management and portfolio

Every running project in one overview, with dates, milestones and dependencies across project boundaries.

  • Portfolio and single project
From the overall picture down to the individual task, without switching planning tools.
  • Change history
Who moved which date and when stays traceable.

Scheduling and capacity planning

Capacity across all trades and departments, calculated against the tasks actually planned.

  • Utilisation instead of gut feel
Whether three more projects fit into the plan becomes a calculation.
  • No double booking
A resource booked twice shows up while planning, not on the day.

Reporting back from the field

A plan is only as current as its last update – and in the cloud that comes straight from the shop floor or the site.

  • Mobile app included
Report tasks back, set progress, attach photos. No app build of your own and no device management.
  • Sign-in via Microsoft 365
Your users sign in with the account they already have.

The trade-off

Run by us or in your own house

Both routes exist. The difference is not the feature set but who carries the operation – and what that means for your IT department.

This comparison describes the standard case. Which of the on-request items make sense for your installation is something we settle in conversation – some of them require an opening in your network that may conflict with your own IT policy.

Common questions

Questions about us running it

See how it looks with your projects

We set up an environment with your project structure and walk through it with you – instead of a demo on sample data.

Where exactly does our data sit?

In a data centre in Falkenstein, Germany, operated by Hetzner to ISO/IEC 27001. Application, database and backups are all there; there is no location outside the EU and nothing is handed to third parties.

Is this GDPR compliant?

Yes. Your data is processed and stored inside the EU only, and an Article 28 data processing agreement is part of the contract. Details of the processing are in our privacy policy.

What do we have to provide ourselves?

A current browser. There is nothing to install on workstations, no server and no database for you to look after. For sign-in via Microsoft 365, your IT sets up an application registration once.

How often is it backed up, and how long does a restore take?

Backups run hourly and daily, with several states side by side, stored separately from the running system. A restore usually takes under an hour.

How do new features reach us?

Continuously and without your involvement. There is no version project and no maintenance window; we announce larger changes in advance so your users can place them.

What happens if we stop using Linetrack?

You get your data out in a format you can work with. After that it is deleted within the periods agreed in the contract – including from the backups.

Can we move to running it ourselves later?

Yes. It is the same data, but a migration project with data transfer and a shutdown date, not a switch. What running it yourself means for your IT is set out on our on-premise page.

Is there a trial?

Rather than an account where you sit alone with sample data, we set up an environment with your own projects and walk through it with you. The effort is modest and the conclusion far more reliable.
