Without Linetrack

Problems in project planning

Companies work with many tools – but without a real overall picture.

Structural problem

Companies work with Excel, ERP, schedules, and task tools – but these systems exist side by side instead of working together.

Pattern for problem cards.

Fehlende Transparenz

Project information is scattered across multiple plans. Dependencies stay invisible – and status reports contradict each other.

Pattern for problem cards.

High overhead

Too much coordination, too much tool upkeep: time is lost, delays are spotted too late, and resources are planned incorrectly.

Pattern for problem cards.

MSG Solutions uses Linetrack in project management and across departments to plan and manage projects efficiently. The system has fully replaced our old PM tool and now serves as the central platform for scheduling and resource planning.

Thanks to a shared data foundation, we always have a clear overview of the status of all projects and save significant time on portfolio analysis. The workflows are ideally suited to the requirements of mechanical and plant engineering - planning and decisions can be made in a practical, well-founded way.

We particularly value the support: the Linetrack team responds quickly, is flexible in further development, and trains the application in a hands-on way tailored to our processes. You can tell that real experience from mechanical engineering goes into it.

„Before Linetrack, we used a project management system that didn't give us the transparency we needed in many areas. On top of that, different departments worked with their own isolated planning lists.

With Linetrack, we were able to replace these processes and now have professional, cross-departmental scheduling and resource planning - from the sales phase through to project tracking. We especially value the collaborative way of working and the close support from the Linetrack team, who adapted the software to our requirements, migrated our legacy data, and trained our staff.

For us, Linetrack isn't just another tool - it's a solution that actually works.“

„Linetrack has helped us keep track of complex development and automation projects. Project plans are now created collaboratively across departments and tracked automatically.

What convinces us most is the ease of use, combined with close contact with the Linetrack team. The flexible rollout and hands-on training meant our team adopted the solution quickly - a clear added value for our work.“

„As a company in mechanical engineering, we always struggled to track and manage project data efficiently. With Linetrack, we've not only brought transparency to our projects but also significantly increased our productivity.

We were especially impressed by the usability and the way data is presented, which lets us keep everything in view at all times.

I can recommend Linetrack to other companies without reservation. It's easy to use, highly efficient, and has genuinely simplified our business.

„At InVENTer GmbH, we develop ventilation systems for residential buildings and manage many cross-departmental projects.

Before Linetrack, the biggest challenge was that constant reminders and follow-ups were needed to keep track of tasks. With Linetrack, we were able to significantly reduce this effort: reminders now run automatically, and the team works noticeably more productively.

Rolling out the system was easy, the support from Linetrack was excellent - and it's so intuitive to use that everyone got up to speed quickly. We especially appreciate that the training module is available at any time.“

What sets Linetrack apart from other PM systems?

Linetrack is purpose-built for complex, plan-driven industrial projects where multiple departments plan together. Unlike conventional tools, Linetrack enables genuine collaborative project management with traceable rescheduling scenarios and a high degree of control – even in complex project plans. Changes can be applied quickly and transparently, backed by an especially high level of usability. Instead of adding yet another point solution, Linetrack replaces existing planning and control tools with a single central platform – creating, for the first time, a reliable basis for decisions.

How does Linetrack support project control and decision-making?

Linetrack creates a central, always up-to-date data foundation across all projects and makes dependencies, department and employee workloads, and bottlenecks transparent. This gives project management and specialist departments a reliable basis for decisions at all times. Forecasts, plan-actual comparisons, and scenario analyses make it possible to spot the impact of changes early and take targeted countermeasures. Alternative scenarios can be simulated in seconds and compared directly – instead of reacting after the fact.

Can Linetrack be integrated into existing systems via interfaces?

Yes, Linetrack integrates flexibly into existing system landscapes via interfaces. Through the REST API, we can connect virtually any interface-capable system and embed it seamlessly into existing processes. Particularly valuable integrations exist with ERP systems, to take over project data, project structures, and hour calculations, and to feed results back. Time-tracking systems can be used to automatically synchronize employee absences. Linetrack also supports standard interfaces to MS Project (MPP, XML), Excel, PDF, and Primavera.

Is my data secure?

Yes, your data is secure with Linetrack. We maintain the highest security standards and process all data in compliance with the GDPR exclusively in Germany. The application, database, and backups run with Hetzner in the Falkenstein data center, which is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022. All data is encrypted both in transit and at rest (TLS 1.2/1.3, AES-256). Access is strictly protected through role- and permission-based systems, network rules, and multi-factor authentication. Multi-tier backups and clearly defined security processes further ensure high availability and data integrity.

How long does implementation take?

The implementation of Linetrack is tailored to your requirements and processes. What matters to us is establishing sustainable project planning within your company – not just rolling out a tool. To that end, we first analyze your existing planning processes together, migrate relevant data from current systems, and develop custom planning templates. We then train your user groups in a targeted way – training sessions are recorded and provided as company-specific learning videos. Next, relevant systems are connected via interfaces, so Linetrack integrates seamlessly into your existing system landscape. The rollout happens in stages, starting with project management: on median, only 10 working days pass between kick-off and the first project planned independently – regardless of company size. Only once planning is firmly established there does the rollout extend step by step to further departments, without interrupting ongoing operations. Training and process adoption are typically completed within about three weeks.

What does Linetrack cost?

The cost of Linetrack depends on the number of users and their roles within the system. Users can be managed flexibly by the customer themselves. A modular licensing model prices additional functional building blocks individually – so you only pay for the features you actually need. Compared to conventional solutions such as Microsoft Project, Linetrack is often more cost-efficient while offering significantly more functionality – particularly in cross-departmental planning, capacity control, and decision support. You're not investing in yet another tool, but in a platform that replaces existing solutions and reduces costs in the long run.
